A couple of weeks ago R.J. and Jen came to visit us and we had a great time. (I apologize to our previous visitors who did not make it to the blog but an update was way overdue by the time they came :) They stopped by for a couple of nights on their way back from a trip to Sedona. R.J. started the visit by trying to improve our gas fireplace so it produced some heat. After first breaking it and then messing with it for a long time he was able to fix it and make it a little better. Then we convinced Jen to take her first crack at ice skating. I couldn't believe she had never been before! It took a little arm twisting, but she reluctantly agreed to give it a try. Here are some pictures of her trying to have a good time, but she really didn't like it. (At least now you know for sure that you don't like it, right Jen?!)

R.J. and Jen had both bought new hiking shoes for their Sedona trip but since it snowed on and off the whole time they were there they never got a chance. So we went on a little hike in Prescott to make up for it. It was perfect, nice weather, good views, and I didn't even break a sweat.
We also took our regular visit to Sonic (sorry you missed out mom and dad) and Cade had his first experience with Texas Roadhouse. He loved it and I'm so excited to live in a city with lots more restaurant choices!
Thanks for visiting, we had a great time and can't wait to do it again next year!
